We’re excited for this year’s event and we know you are excited too! This year, we will be starting and finishing at a yet to be disclosed location in Salt Lake City. The Course begins with a beautiful and hilly tour around the State Capitol building and foothills, then proceeds north into Davis County with small rollers along the foothills of East Davis County, and finding its way to the flat final section of the ride in western sections of Kasysville, Farmington, Centerville, Bountiful and Woods Cross.
8am for all distances (sunrise)
To Be Determined in a Salt Lake City Area
Packet Pickup info to be announced at a later date.
The earlier you register, the better the price!
Your entry includes: sweet GFSL rally towel (perfect for those rides on your trainer), finisher medal, GFSL socks, supported aid-stations, window sticker, and catered finish-line food.
The first 200 registrations will also receive a souvenir wine/juice glass!
The Century ride begins with a climb to the State Capitol and heads along avenues and loops back to the soon to be announced starting area, which is also the site of the first aid station. Cyclists will then head north along streets through Davis County. We've added some fun rollers and fun decent in Kaysville to break up the monotony.
The Metric Century and 30-mile rides mimic the Century with visible turnaround points.
The Gran Fondo will have Feed Stations at the 30 mile turnaround point, the metric Century turnaround point, and the full century turnaround points.
We will have moto-support and support trucks roaming along the route. We will have bike support for minor bike technical issues (flats, gears, etc). However, covering 90+ miles, it may take a while for our vehicles to get to you. We encourage you to bring basic cycling necessities (pump, tire, patch kit, etc) a cell phone with you and to contact our support staff should you need assistance. There will also be a sag-vehicle following the last group or person on the course.
This event is a non-timed, touring event. If you are a team looking for an event to prepare for a future race, we welcome you! Feel free to bring your team vehicle and support crew. However, keep in mind, our permits and future of this and other events require you obey all traffic rules as they pertain to cycling and road vehicular traffic, and each of your members must be registered for the event.
The Gran Fondo Salt Lake is NOT a race. This is a touring ride and as such, ALL traffic rules apply to you. Please obey all traffic laws while participating. ALL participants, including teams, must obey all traffic rules. This includes stop lights, railroad crossings, stop signs, yields, etc etc. The roads are NOT closed to cars during the event. Violating these rules will be grounds for immediate expulsion from the course and any future event.
Ride and draft single file as much as possible. Be aware of vehicle traffic at all times.
Be safe, Be Aware, Be Awesome!
Thank you!!
